In Search of a Long-Awaited Consensus on Disciplinary Integration in STEM Education

The emergence of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in research the practice science, technology, engineering, mathematics education is today an unquestionable fact at international level. Despite importance attached to education, there a lack synthesized approaches teaching interdisciplinarity STEM. This synthesis can hinder strong theoretical foundation for possible new contributions. purpose this position paper contribute framework that enables unification criteria regarding disciplinary integration associated methods. authors discuss activities, implication literacy, educational stage, method, provide suggestions future research.
